THE MISSION
Back in 2011, Pertamina needed a new brand for their vehicle gas (LNG) to convince private car owners to switch from standard petrol. The big tension was that Indonesians mostly associated gas with exploding kitchen cylinders or cheap public transport like Bajaj. We had to build a name, logo, and tagline from scratch to kill that stigma.
THE "AGAK LAEN" CONCEPT
Instead of selling it as a "cheap alternative", which feels like a massive downgrade, we positioned it as a smart, eco-friendly upgrade. We crafted the name "ENVOGAS" and designed a sleek blue-and-green logo to make it feel like premium, modern tech rather than a scary gas tank. We sealed the deal with the tagline "Melaju Lebih Bersih," shifting the focus from the fuel itself to a better, cleaner driving experience.
THE RESULT
The ENVOGAS brand gave Pertamina a fresh, professional face for their national fuel conversion campaign. The modern identity successfully distanced the product from the old "cheap and dangerous" public perception. It provided a strong, confident brand foundation that made switching to gas feel like a step into the future.
